CHENNAI: The discerning shopper has a lot of things to pick up at the Home Life Exhibition that got under way at Kamaraj Arangam on Saturday. A wide range of products, including home furniture, chandeliers, clothes, footwear, cutlery and home appliances are on display at the exhibition which will be on till January 1. ‘Ensure quality’Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, who inaugurated the exhibition being organised by TIFA Trade and Exhibition Company, called upon manufacturers to ensure quality of products they produce. He urged the youth to embrace entrepreneurship. Noting that the world was looking towards India, he said that despite global recession investments were pouring into the country. TIFA Trade and Exhibition Company managing directors Syed Muneer Ahmed and Abdul Hafiz Khan said the annual exhibition series began 20 years ago. They thanked the people of Chennai and retailers and manufacturers who had supported them through the years. TIFA’s partners Syed Tariq Ahmed, Imtiaz Ahmed and Fayaz Ahmed said their aim was to provide a platform for manufacturers and retailers to showcase their products. Mr. Syed Tariq Ahmed said they also got a lot of corporate enquiries. He said there was a 40 per cent discount on furniture imported from China.
