12 people accused in bus burning case arrested

ADILABAD: A dozen people accused in the bus burning case at Rebbena on December 24 were arrested by the police on Sunday.

They were sent to remand subsequently. No incident of violence was reported during the day though the pro Telangana agitations were spread across the district.

Rallies

Different unions and organisations took out motorcycle rallies, cycle rallies, tractor rallies etc at Adilabad, Mancherial, Kagaznagar, Nirmal and Bhainsa. At Adilabad activists of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organised a ‘run for Telangana’. Other students formed a human chain at the Vinayak chowk.

Train detained

The Nandigram express coming in from Mumbai was detained for about half an hour in the morning by agitators at Talamadugu. Traffic flow on almost all he important in the district was hindered for some time during the day as protesters staged rasta rokos.
