Mumbai triumphs

THRISSUR: Mumabi won the South-West Zone inter-university women’s cricket championship, beating host Calicut by 29 runs in the final here on Monday. Rajasthan took the third place, with a 12-run victory over Gujarat.

The scores: Mumbai 195 for nine in 50 overs (Tanuja Lele 43, Shani three for 29) bt Calicut 166 in 47.4 overs (Bavitha 48).

Rajasthan 137 for nine in 40 overs (Krutika 65, Khayati four for 33) bt Gujarat 125 in 31 overs (Hira Mani three for 19).
