Urs on Thursday

Mysore: The Mandya District Pandavapura, Keretehonnur Hazarat Syed Salar Masood Quazi and Bibi Fathima Alias Zohara Bi’s Sandal Urs Sharif will be held from December 31 to January 1 at Dargah Sharif in Mandya, said a release from Ansar Pasha, Secretary Madarasa-e-Sabir Piya and Sabir Piya Bait-ul-Mall, Rajendra Nagar Kesare.

Narayanaswamy, MLA, will inaugurate the Urs and A.H. Vishwanath, MP, Tanveer Sait, MLA, and president of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha K.S. Puttanniah will be the chief guests.

Chand Afzal Quadri of Delhi and Akram Alam Sabri of Mumbai will present a qawwali on December 31 at 10 p.m. On the next day, Ameel Arif of Meerut, and Rubina and Shabeena of Mumbai will present a qawwali. Those interested to participate in the urs can get details on 9448561749.
