Interaction with Nobel laureate

KOTTAYAM: Roger Yonchien Tsien, Nobel laureate for chemistry in 2008, will deliver the inaugural lecture of the Erudite Lecture series at Mahatma Gandhi University on Tuesday. The series, being organised in association with the Kerala Higher Education Council comprises of 20 academic interactions with scholars of international repute during the current year, out which five, will be with Nobel laureates.

Prof. Tsien shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Osamu Shimomura and Martin Chalfie for ‘green fluorescent protein discovery, expression and development’. The interaction will be held at 2 p.m. at the School of Chemical Sciences.
