Diana David to lead Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Diana David will lead Hyderabad in the all-India senior women’s one-day super league cricket championship to be held here from January 10 to 20 at different venues.

The team: Diana David (capt.), Gouher Sultana (vice-capt.), Mamata Kanojia, Suvarna Lakshmi, Sindhuja Reddy, Sunitha Anand (wk), Sowjanya Nath, Y. Rajani, Sangeetha, M. Shalini, Ananya Upendran, Nidhi Torvi, Sowmya Somanchi, Arundati and C. Kamakshi. Coach: Abdul Bari Wahab. Assistant coach: Savita Nirala. Manager: Archana Narahari Setti.

Charan Teja shines

Fine spell by M. Charan Teja (seven for 36) helped Vijay Bharathi record a convincing, 218-run win over SN Group in the A-Division (one-day) knock-out cricket tournament semi-final here on Sunday.

The scores: A-Division (one-day) knock-out: Semifinal: Vijay Bharathi 329 for nine (Vamsi Kiran Kumar 90, T. Chandrasekhar 98, M. Charan Teja 43, Karthik four for 88) bt SN Group 111 (M. Charan Teja seven for 36).

D-Division one-day knock-out: Semifinal: Shanthi XI 256 for nine (Gautam 48) bt YMRC 92 (Mohd 40, Hemanth four for 16).
