VIJAYAWADA: Avanigadda’s SVL Kranthi Junior College athlete V. Mounica emerged as the individual champion by garnering 15 points in the Krishna District junior colleges’ athletic meet, organised by the SRR and CVR College, at Siddhartha Arts and Science College grounds here on Sunday. The winners: 100m and 400m: M. Madhuri (Srinivasa Jr. College, Vuyyuru), 200m: P. Srujana Kumari (Dr. Zakir Hussain Jr. College, Ibrahimpatnam), 800m and 1500m: V. Mounica (SVL Kranthi Jr. College, Avanigadda), High jump and long jump: V. Rohini Krishna (Siddhartha Jr. Mahila Kalasala), Shot-put and discus: K. Vasu (SVL Kranthi Jr. College, Avanigadda), Javelin: G. Sushmitha (SVL Kranthi Jr. College, Avanigadda), 4x100m relay: Siddhartha Mahila Jr. College.
