Student wins award

PUDUCHERRY: A research scholar of Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for Post Graduate Studies, Government of Puducherry, M. Rigana Begum, won the second prize for a paper presentation at the 18th National Symposium on Ultrasonics held at VIT University, Vellore. According to a release, Ms. Begum, K. Aruna and M. Vijaya Kumar of M.Phil - Physics participated in the symposium and presented eight papers on theoretical and experimental aspects of ultrasonic waves in organic liquid and liquid mixtures, along with Associate Professor of Physics at the centre G. Meenakshi.

One of the papers was selected for best presentation award and Ms. Begum secured the second prize called Dr. M. Pancholy Award 2009, USI for her best presentation.
