BJP asks Centre to introduce Bill on Telangana

HYDERABAD: BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya has asked the Centre to initiate the the political process for formation of Telangana by introducing a Bill in the coming budget session of Parliament and assured that his party would support it.

During the interaction Union Home Minister P. Chidamabaram had with eight political parties in New Delhi on Tuesday, the BJP leader wanted the Centre to announce a time-frame for the entire process and cautioned that the situation would worsen if it failed to do so.

He said the movement for a separate State was quite strong with people in the villages too pitching for it and could not be suppressed by using police force.
