Penn Masala to perform in city

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Penn Masala, the world’s first and premier Hindi ‘Accapella’ group will be performing in the city on Monday from 7.30 p.m. onwards at the Lumbini Park Amphitheatre.

Unique sounds

Accapella is defined as ‘to perform without accompaniment’ and is a centuries-old musical art form that uses only the voice to stimulate a wide range of musical instruments and unique sounds to create a rich blend. Started in 1996 by students of University of Pennsylavania in Philadelphia, USA, Penn Masala has gone on to perform for sold-out crowds in major cities across the world and performed alongside A.R. Rehman, Sunidhi Chauhan etc, said a press note.
