U.P. girls in final
NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh girls outclassed Maharashtra 84-54 to make the final of the 36th National sub-junior basketball championship in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, on Tuesday.
In the final, Uttar Pradesh will challenge Chhattisgarh which raced past Kerala 87-33.
In the boys’ section, Madhya Pradesh got past Maharashtra 77-61.
In the final, Madhya Pradesh will meet the winner of the match between host Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The results (semifinals):
Boys: Madhya Pradesh 77 (Prankur 19, Shankar 16) bt Maharashtra 61 (Mohammed Salim Malik 18, Karthik 11).
Girls: Chhattisgarh 87 (Saranjeet 28, Kavita 15) bt Kerala 33 (Pooja Mol 14). Uttar Pradesh 84 (Preeti 28, Varkha 25) bt Maharashtra 54 (Rupali 17).
