Science Express to arrive in Kadapa today

KADAPA: “Science Express”, an innovative science exhibition on a specially designed train, will reach Kadapa railway station on Saturday from Salem in Tamil Nadu.

The express with 13 coaches displaying various science experiments to promote scientific thinking among students studying from class 9 to Intermediate, will be formally opened by Collector Shashi Bhushan Kumar at Kadapa railway station and will stay put here for up to January 18, according to an official press note. The train began its onward journey from Gandhinagar in Gujarat on October 2, 2009. It will go round 100 cities in the country. Kadapa will be the 26th city.

Students can watch the exhibition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no entry fees. Interested principals can contact the coordinator on the train for screening the one-and-half-hour show of science experiments on the school premises.
