CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Rewari, A. Sreenivas, as the new Deputy Commissioner of Sirsa in place of Y. S. Khyalia. According to official sources, the transfer has been done on instructions from the Election Commission. The Ellenabad constituency of the Haryana Assembly, which faces a by-election this coming Wednesday, falls under Sirsa district and the Indian National Lok Dal had been complaining about “partisan” attitude of Mr. Khyalia and demanding his removal. Meanwhile, the State Government has also issued orders for transfer of 48 Haryana Civil Service officers.
