Nagercoil: The entire sea shore in Kanyakumari was flooded with tourists who had gathered there for the ‘kaanum pongal’ as part of the Pongal Festival on Saturday. Sources said, quite a large number of tourists and local people thronged the Kanyakumari sea shore to celebrate the occasion. The police had made security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident.
