Maruti launches Eeco in State

KOCHI: Maruti Suzuki, the country’s number one automobile manufacturer, has launched Eeco, an all-new spacious family car. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a five-door, C segment vehicle, which has been specifically designed for India by the auto major. The ex-showroom price for Eeco in Kochi will be: Eeco Standard 5 seater Rs.2,71,994; Eeco A/c 5 seater Rs.3,01,994; Eeco standard 7 seater Rs.2,87,989, says a release. – Special Correspondent

KOCHI: Viju Jacob, Synthite Industries, Kolencherry, Ernakulam, who is representing spice exporters in the Spices Board, has been elected vice-chairman of the Board in the 67th meeting held on January 15. Kochi: GM India has launched the much awaited Chevrolet Beat, the next offering from the 300 series after the Cruze, at a ceremony presided over by its vice-president P. Balendran. Based on GM’s global mini-vehicle architecture, the experts took 27 months to develop the Beat. Chevrolet Beat will be launched in over 150 markets around the world including those in Europe, other parts of Asia and North America in the coming days, Mr. Balendran said. – Special Correspondent
