Film: ‘Namo Venkatesa’ Direction: Srinu Vytla Cast: Trisha, Venkatesh An absolute entertainer with no timing delays whatsoever between frames. There is no lull at all, throughout the movie. And if the first half is a laughter riot, the second half has the serious elements of love, sentiment and of course lots of action in terms of the hero bashing up the baddies. That’s ‘Namo Venkatesa’ for you. And yes Devisri Prasad’s music too ‘rocks’. Director Vytla has truly brought out the best from his cast and crew. ‘Victory’ Venkatesh is as usual at his best. As a ventriloquist on a sponsored programme abroad, he plays the innocent hero part and that of his profession that the role prescribes for him to the best. And in the second half, one sees the macho-ism in him. The twist in the tale occurs just a couple of minutes before the curtains come down. Die-hard film critics who take their job too seriously may feel that Vytla has picked up bits and pieces from here and there. But who cares in the entertainment industry, as long as the final product is laughable and watchable. And it’s a ‘poora paisa vasool’ film and that’s it. Trisha’s glamour is showcased in a rather sensual manner with the director’s visualisation and some good work by cinematographer Prasad Murella.Dialogues by Chintapally Ramana flow smoothly. Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and villains Jayaprakash Reddy and Mukesh Rishi make sure nothing is lacking in delivery too. Produced by Achanta brothers Ram and Gopichand and Anil Sunkara, it is presented by D. Suresh Babu. SURESH KRISHNAMOORTHY
