KARIMNAGAR: Senior BJP leader Ch. Vidyasagar Rao has demanded that the Union government initiate the process for the formation of separate Telangana State before January 28, the deadline set by the political Joint Action Committee leaders of region. If the government fails to initiate the Telangana process, the constitutional crisis will arise in the State with the en masse resignations of all the elected representatives of Telangana region demanding separate statehood, he said. ‘Lakshman Rekha’Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he said the Congress leaders, who were in dilemma over the resignations, should feel that the January 28 was the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ for the formation of Telangana State and bring pressure on the government. He said that the Congress high command had no responsibility on Telangana issue as the Union Home Ministry had stated that the process for Telangana had been initiated. He flayed the parties, which supported the Telangana statehood, for changing their stand immediately after Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram had announced initiation of process.
