‘False cases registered against the agitationists’ ‘Charge memos issued to police of the region’ KARIMNAGAR: BJP Kisan Morcha State president P. Sugunakar Rao has alleged that the State government was issuing charge memos to the Telangana Sub-inspectors and Circle Inspectors of police for not arresting the Telangana JAC leaders and agitationists. Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he alleged that the State government was bent upon suppressing the Telangana statehood movement by arresting several protestors and lodging them in jails. Flaying the State government for registration of false cases against the agitationists, he charged the police higher officials with issuing charge memos to the police personnel of the region for not arresting the agitationists. He also found fault with DGP Girish Kumar for stating that naxalite movement would increase in Telangana state. Giving details about the proposed Telangana JAC district meeting in Karimnagar town on January 20 at Padmanayaka Kalyana Mandapam, Mr Sugunakar Rao said that the meeting was convened to send a message that all sections of society were for the cause of separate Telangana. All the elected representatives , would attend the meeting, he added. JAC convenor Chandrashekhar, PCC secretary Y Sunil Rao, TDP leader K Agaiah, Praja Telangana Samithi president Md Arif, TRS, CPI and other organisation leaders were also present.
