Thousands witness celestial festival

Annual Brahmotsavams held at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Kadapa



Divine occasion: Priests carrying the Utsav idols of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and his consorts on ‘Pedda Seshavahanam’ in Kadapa on Monday.

KADAPA: The Utsav idols of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi were taken in a procession on ‘Chinna Seshavahanam’ as part of the annual Brahmotsavam in Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple on Monday.

Priests of the temple performed Snapana Thirumanjanam and Unjal Seva before noon. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Annamacharya Project artistes rendered Annamacharya keertanas in the evening. Large number of devotees participated in the Brahmotsavam.

The presiding deities were taken in a procession on ‘Pedda Seshavahanam’ (a 10-headed snake) on Sunday night.
