Jyoti Basu mourned

KORAPUT: A condolence meeting was held on Monday by the students of Central University of Orissa here in memory of Jyoti Basu, the eminent communist leader of the country who passed away on Sunday.

While the students recalled the contribution of Basu to West Bengal as an able administrator for being the longest serving chief minister of the State, his contribution to the national politics was also highlighted. All the faculty members also joined the students in paying tribute to the departed soul.
