“Double patient care allowance”

PUDUCHERRY: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Hospital Employees Union has urged the Central government to double the patient care allowance.

The union said that the government should not outsource Group D posts but appoint government employees and fill in all vacancies immediately. Formation of paramedical council and grant of revised pay fixation order for nurses were among the other demands of the union, according to a press release.
