Chief Minister to interact with people of Chidimi

Rosaiah to lay the stone for an auditorium of the Animal Husbandry Department at Srikakulam

He will launch work on a Rs.5.45 -cr. VUDA bypass road at WAMBAY Colony at Arasavalli


SRIKAKULAM: During his two-day hectic visit to the district on January 23 and 24, Chief Minister K. Rosaiah will interact with people of the remote Chidimi in Veeraghattam mandal for feedback on the implementation of the government’s welfare and development programmes.

Reviewing arrangements with officials here on Monday, District Collector N. Srikant said the interaction on January 23 would be limited to people of that village. Mr. Rosaiah will lay the foundation for modernisation of Thotapalli canal at Naugam in Palakonda mandal and give away loans, units and implements worth Rs.100 crore there.

He will unveil the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the university at Etcherla and also formally declare open the university named after him. The 21st Century Gurukulam will be inaugurated at Etcherla and foundation laid to the Rajiv Swagruha, the government’s housing programme for the middle class.

At Srikakulam he will lay the stone for an auditorium of the Animal Husbandry Department and a drinking water scheme for colonies in seven villages that would become part of the municipality. At WAMBAY Colony at Arasavalli, he will lay launch work on a Rs.5.45 crores VUDA bypass road. In the evening, he will participate in the party programme at Indira Vignan Bhavan.

Mr. Rosaiah leaves Srikakulam at 8.30 a.m. on January 24 after addressing a press conference.

Mr. Srikant asked officials to make all the necessary arrangements giving no room for complaints and get invitations printed following the protocol. Additional Joint Collector T. Baburao Naidu and DRO M.H.Sharief participated.

Four minister to arrive

Municipal Administration and Major Irrigation Ministers Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and Ponnala Laxmaiah, Higher Education Minister D. Sridhar Babu and his Housing counterpart Silpa Mohan Reddy will arrive to participate in the Chief Minister’s tour on January 23.
