KOZHIKODE: District panchayat president K.P. Kunhammedkutty told a review meeting here on Monday that the benefits of the Kuttiady Irrigation Project would reach the farmers only if the Irrigation and Agriculture departments worked in tandem. The review meeting was convened by District Collector P.B. Salim at the Collectorate here. Mr. Kunhammedkutty complained that rice fields that were ready for harvest were being flooded due to opening of the canal. Dr. Salim called for cooperation between government departments.
