Woman dies in accident

GANNAVARAM: A woman died on the spot in a road accident near Gudavalli under Gannavaram police station limits near here on Monday. N. Satish Raju, a manager in a cement factory, was going to Hyderabad from Bhimavaram along with his family members in his newly purchased car. He lost control of the car and it reportedly hit the lorry that was parked on the side of the road. His wife Kranti Kumari, 32, succumbed to the injuries immediately. Satish Raju, and his children, Tejasvini, 7, and Raja Sudhakara Varma, 5, suffered injuries.

Gannavaram MLA Dasari Balavardhan Rao, who was going to Vijayawada on the way, shifted the children to a hospital in his car, while Satish Raju was shifted to another hospital in 108 ambulance. They were stated to be out of danger.

Gannavaram police have registered a case and are investigating.
