10 BT finishing schools to open this year in Karnataka

BANGALORE: Ten biotechnology (BT) finishing schools will begin their academic operations from this year in Karnataka to prepare fresh BT graduates for specialised skills.

Karnataka BT Vision Group Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw told presspersons here on Tuesday that the government would identify institutions offering BT educational courses to run finishing schools. The names of the chosen institutions would be announced at the annual edition of Bangalore India Bio. An overwhelming number of institutions had shown interest in running BT finishing schools.
