Competitions for students planned
CHENNAI: The organisers of the Tamil Internet Conference, which will be held concurrently along with the World Classical Tamil Conference, have planned competitions for students of schools and colleges in the State to bring out the students’ creativity using computer tools.
The topics will be drawn from different Tamil works such as Tirukkural and the poetry of Subramania Bharati, Bharatidasan and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
Chairman of the organising committee for the Internet Conference M. Anandakrishnan told reporters that 15,000 students from 8,000 schools were expected to take part. On February 12, district-level contests would be held for school students.
In the case of college students, zonal-level competitions would be organised. This would be followed by State-level contests.
