Anantapur
Anantapur: Joint Collector Anitha Ramachandran on Thursday urged people to alert the district administration and particularly the Civil Supplies Department if they come across illegal activities like hoarding of essential commodities by vested interests. The Joint Collector said that a toll free number would soon be made available to the public. Addressing a review meeting of the Prices Control Committee here, Ms. Anitha said efforts were on to check the spiralling prices of essential commodities and also the disparity in prices at different towns in the district. She said a meeting with all retail kirana merchants would soon be arranged to review and check rising prices.
