HI elections: Ministry files application

NEW DELHI: The Union Sports Ministry has filed an urgent application before the Chief Justice of the Delhi High court requesting the appointment of Mr. C. K. Mahajan, retired High Court judge, as the Returning Officer for the Hockey India elections to be held on February 7.

The court is hearing a PIL petition on accountability of National Sports Federations and is also seized of the HI elections. — Special Correspondent
