H.D. Deve Gowda Bijapur: The former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda has said that the Janata Dal (Secular) will not be affected with the resignation of senior leader and former Minister Iqbal Ansari and MLCs N. Thippanna and B.R. Gurudev. Addressing presspersons before attending a public gathering here in Friday, he alleged that it was conspiracy of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and the Bharatiya Janata Party to weaken the Janata Dal (Secular) by playing caste politics. Such acts would not deter the party from fighting for the cause of farmers, he said. He said that Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, who joined the party on Friday, would be made in-charge of north Karnataka and strengthen the party from grassroots level. The party would definitely come to power in the years to come, he said.
