Andhra, Amaravathi post wins

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra University outplayed Pondicherry University by 15-4, while SGB Amaravathi University scored a 17-14 victory over Chidambaram’s Annamalai University in the first round of the South-West Zone inter-university handball tournament for women at ANU campus on Sunday.

The results (first round): LNUPE (Gwalior) bt Alagappa 19-10, Andhra bt Pondicherry 15-4, SGB Amaravathi bt Annamalai 17-14, Dr. BAM bt Tumkur 12-7, MG (Kottayam) bt Maharaja Ganga Singh 25-6, Bharatiyar bt Barkatullah 27-1, Periyar bt Karnatak State Women 23-1.
