VELLORE: Three persons have been arrested for trying to molest a deaf and dumb woman working as a cook at a school in Vellore on Monday. Police said Santhapandian (16), Karthikeyan (16) and Govindaraj (23) had gained illegal entry into a school run by the Christian missionary in Vellore. Police said they took the 23-year-old deaf and dumb woman to a nearby bush and tried to molest her. As the nuns raised an alarm, they fled from the spot. However, the nuns identified Santhapandian, as he was an old student of the school. A complaint was lodged with the Sathuvacheri police station. The police arrested Santhapandian, Karthikeyan and Govindaraj. While the Sathuvacheri police remanded Govindaraj, Santhapandian and Karthikeyan had been sent to the juvenile home in Chennai.
