Vishisht Seva Medal for TA officer

NEW DELHI: Major Vishal Bakshi has been awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for distinguished service to the Territorial Army.

Major Bakshi, managing director of V. R. Industries, was the first actor to be commissioned in the Territorial Army in the late 1980s and was also honoured with the Chief of Army Staff Commendation in 2004. He is planning to make a film on the Territorial Army this year.
