VISAKHAPATNAM: The Rohit Memorial Trust released its first English publication titled ‘Chemotherapy and You’, concerning care to be taken during treatment of cancer, on Monday at a function at Hotel Daspalla. The publication would be distributed free of cost to all patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment in all the leading hospitals and with oncologists in the city. “The idea is to spread awareness about the effects of chemotherapy and ways to maintain a standard of living during the treatment of cancer,” G. Anantram, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Rohit Memorial Trust said at the function. The Telugu publication will also be available shortly. Ray of hopeFormer Mayor D.V. Subba Rao, who was present at the function, commended the efforts of the organisation in creating awareness about cancer and providing support to cancer patients through its activities. “The book is a gift of hope for cancer patients. It is important to give comfort and solace to those affected with cancer and add zest to every moment of their life,” he said. A counselling and awareness workshop on cancer will be organised with Dr. Ramanathan of the Vasanta Memorial Trust, Chennai, shortly.
