VJPS wins

CHENNAI: Vidya Jain Public School (Delhi) defeated Presidency School (Bangalore) by 54 runs in the final of the all-India Polly Umrigar Trophy (under-16) schools cricket tournament here on Monday. S. Ganesan, vice-president, TNCA, gave away the trophy.

The scores (final): Vidya Jain Public School (Delhi) 123 in 37.2 overs (Narayan Bisht 34, Sakib Alam 33, Rahul Shoekand four for 16) bt Presidency School (Bangalore) 69 in 42.3 overs (Nitish Rana four for eight).
