Grasim profit up 56% at Rs. 715 crore

CHENNAI: Grasim has reported a net revenue (consolidated basis) of Rs. 4,844 crore in the three months ended December 31, 2009, against Rs. 4,610 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year, a growth of five per cent. The gross profit before depreciation and interest charges has improved by 41 per cent to Rs. 1,511 crore from Rs. 1,073 crore. The net profit has risen by 56 per cent to Rs. 715 crore from Rs. 460 crore, says a release.
