Partially burnt body found near drain in Vaderahalli Crime Notes

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Two persons were found murdered in as many incidents reported in the Bangalore Rural district and Ramanagara district on Tuesday. A man, aged about 35, was done to death in Vaderahalli near Harohalli in Kanakapura taluk. The assailants, the police said, attacked the victim with boulders and also tried to burn his body. According to the Harohalli police, the partially burnt body was found near a drain. The badge of a political party was found in the pocket of the deceased. The police have registered a case.

In the other incident, a 30-year-old security guard was hacked to death on the premises of a building under construction in Jigani Industrial Area in the Bannerghatta police station limits on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Paras Pandey (30), a native of Bihar. He was staying at a shed of the building. “It seems Pandey resisted the attack and there are indications that he was chased and hacked to death,” the Bannerghatta police, who have registered the case, said.

Both the murders may have occurred in the late hours of Monday, said the Bannerghatta and Harohalli police.

Suicide

A 35-year-old manager of a private company allegedly committed suicide after he found the food, which was cooked by his wife, not tasty. Banasawadi police identified the victim as L. Shravana, a resident of Ramanand Golden Apartment off Nagayyana Palya Main Road. He was working in a mobile phone company in Benson Town. He married Sudha (31) four years ago. It is said that the couple used to quarrel frequently. On Monday, he returned home in the late hours and picked a fresh quarrel with her. “Sudha served him food. But, he quarrelled with his wife over it. It turned into a heated exchange of words. Later, he went inside a room and shut the door. Since this kind of his behaviour was common, Sudha ignored it. But in the morning when he did not open the door, Sudha, with the help of his friends, found him hanging from the ceiling fan,” the Banasawadi police said.
