Local holiday in Pudukottai

PUDUKOTTAI: It will be a local holiday for all Government Departments and educational institutions in the district on Friday on account of the ‘Mahakumbabhishekam’ of Sri Muthumariamman temple at Tiruvappur in the town. District Treasury and Sub-Treasury offices will, however, function with skeletal staff. In a press release issued here on Wednesday, A. Suganthi, Collector, said that February 13 (Saturday) will be a compensatory working day. For Departments functioning on Saturdays, February 14 (Sunday) will be a compensatory working day.
