NAGERCOIL: The Government has allotted a sum of Rs.5.26 crore for the construction of anti-sea erosion walls in six coastal villages, said Tourism Minister N. Suresh Rajan. Laying the foundation stone for the construction of anti-sea erosion walls at a function held at Erayammanthurai on Thursday, he said that such walls would be constructed at Erayammanthurai at a cost of Rs. 1.81 crore. A sum of Rs.70.19 lakh for the maintenance of already constructed anti-sea erosion wall at Ramanthurai at Vilavancode taluk was sanctioned. Rajendra Ratnoo, Collector, presided.
