Decision on Inter exam date today?
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: A final decision on the schedule for Intermediate examinations is likely to be taken by the State government on Friday when Chief Minister K. Rosaiah will review the issue in light of representations made to him by several elected representatives from Telangana region.
Senior officials in the Secondary Education Department asserted that there would not be any change in the original schedule, according to which the examinations would have to be conducted from March 3 up to the month-end.
They said any postponement of the schedule by 15 days as sought by elected representatives on behalf of the students of Telangana would disturb the students in the entire State and disrupt their preparations for various entrance tests for all-India institutions and those in other States.
The officials also insisted that there would not be any change in the examination schedule of Class X too.
When contacted, Secondary Education Minister D. Manikya Varaprasada Rao expressed similar views but said “the ball is in the court of Chief Minister”.
