BANGALORE: The results of the 31st All India Photography Competition (2009) are out. And as always, the pictures speak a thousand words. If the award-winning pictures in the digital section make you marvel at the skill and sophisticated use of technology, the pictures of a tiger moving towards its kill (in the nature section) leave one awestruck.
Organised every year by the Bangalore-based Youth Photography Society, three awards have been announced in each of the six sections.
The winners of the competition in the six sections are Shivu K. from Bangalore (“Dream House”, Monochrome); Subrata Das from Cooch Behar (“Towards Woods”, Colour); Umakant Vijay Madan from Mumbai (“Sand Dune”, Travel); Yallal S. Mallikarjuna from Bangalore (“Leopard at Waterhole”, Nature); Lokesh S. from Bangalore (“Coppersmith Barbet”, Digital Creative) and Paul Anup from Kolkata (“Body Language”, Digital Nature).
