Dry day in districts

ARIYALUR: All TASMAC liquor shops will be closed on Saturday in Ariyalur district in connection with Vadalur Ramalinga Swamigal memorial day celebrations, according to Collector T.Abraham here on Friday.
Karur
Dry day has been declared in Karur district.
Sale of alcoholic beverages through TASMAC retail outlets and bars has been banned.
Any violation would be severely dealt with under criminal laws, says a press release from Collector J. Uma Maheswari.
Perambalur
All Indian Made Foreign Liquor shops of the TASMAC will remain closed in the district on Saturday, according to a press release from Collector M.Vijayakumar.
