Dies in accident

VISAKHAPATNAM: A woman died in a road accident at Hanumanthawaka on Thursday.

B. Venkatalakshmi was crossing the road near Hanumanthawaka when she was reportedly knocked down by a car. She sustained a head injury and died on the spot.

Her son-in-law Ch. Prasad lodged a complaint with the P.M. Police.

A young woman allegedly committed suicide at Kanithi Road on Thursday.

Jyothirani, 23, of Kanithi Road, Gajuwaka, was engaged to be married. She consumed pesticide in a suicide bid. She died after admission to a hospital. Gajuwaka Police are investigating the case.
