Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: Burglars took away silver ornaments and articles weighing nearly 13 kilograms, worth Rs. 3 lakh, after lifting the shutter of Ambica jewellery shop at H.B. Colony in Kushaiguda on Wednesday night.
There was lot of gold jewellery in the steel chest in shop but the offenders did not even attempt to break open it.
The jeweller did not prefer to mention the quantity of gold jewellery in the chest but it was completely intact, Kushaiguda Inspector, A. Muthyam Reddy, said on Thursday after examining the shop.
The burglars lifted the shutter on one side using steel rods, collected the entire silver articles and ornaments in the showcases and fled.
