K. Balchand

NEW DELHI: Commissioner of Railway Safety, North Eastern Circle, P.K. Bajpai has held the driver and guard of the Kalindi Express responsible for ramming into the Shram Shakti Express. The collision killed three persons in Uttar Pradesh on January 16. The report faulted the driver for speeding at 29 km per hour against the limit of 8 km per hour after halting at the red signal for just 2 minute and 16 seconds. The guard did not warn the driver about the revised instructions: stopping at least 10 minutes at a danger signal.
