UoH, Penn State varsity to work on infectious diseases
HYDERABAD: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) and Penn State University, USA, propose to undertake collaborative research on a host of infectious diseases, apart from looking to develop new diagnostic tools for early detection.
Prof. Peter Hudson, director of Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, Pennsylvania State University, held discussions in this regard with the Vice-Vhancellor of University of Hyderabad, Seyed E. Hasnain.
According to Prof. Peter Hudson, joint research teams from the two universities would work on various diseases, including swine flu, SARS, tuberculosis and foot and mouth disease.
