Carnatic concerts at festival

Kozhikode: The Malabar Mahotsav will provide a rich feast of Carnatic classical music.

The concerts will be held at Jaya Auditorium from February 11. The inaugural concert will be by O.S. Thyagarajan, accompanied by Tiruvizha Viju S. Anand on the violin, Thiruvananthapuram Balaji on the mridangam, Aluva Gopalakrishnan on the ghatam and Kannur Santhosh on the morsing. The second concert will be by Prasanna Venkitaraman with R. Swaminathan on the violin, Kuzhalmandam Ramakrishnan on the mridangam, Coimbatore Suresh on the ghatam and Tamarakudy Rajasekharan on the morsing.

Cherthala Ranganatha Sarma will also present a vocal concert. Edapally Ajithkumar will be on the violin, Chertala Anandakrishnan on the mridangam and Manjur Unnikrishnan on the ghatam.
