Students’ protest

KOLAR: Led by Students’ Federation of India (SFI) district unit, scores of hostel students, including a large number of girls, staged a dharna in front of zilla panchayat office here on Friday. They were demanding proper infrastructure at SC/ST and BCM hostels and increase in food allowance in view of rising prices of essential commodities. “Government should set up hostel for postgraduate, law and technical students at district centre Kolar,” SFI district president V.
