Rape of woman alleged

VISAKHAPATNAM: A woman from Orissa was allegedly raped at Gajuwaka here on Friday.
The woman of Koraput district was staying with her parents after she lost her husband. A man from her native village brought her to Gajuwaka with the promise of finding her work.
On the pretext of finding her a house to live in, he took her to Islampeta in Gajuwaka and allegedly raped her at a secluded place near the shandy.
The woman was sent to the King George Hospital for medical examination.
CI K. Ranga Raju said that the police were yet to get the full details as the woman was speaking broken Telugu and seemed to be in a confused state.
