Four couples travel to an exotic tropical island resort to reinvigorate their relationships. They are expecting some fun in the azure surroundings to get over their middle-age blues but they are in for a surprise when they discover that they have to undergo plenty of therapy and some soul-searching in this package. With a talented cast to play with, we expect some liberation from the clichés of relationship tales but director Peter Billingsley’s film is an experience in dim-witted humour and casually-written screenplay which has failed to inspire even A.R. Rahman, who has composed the tepid sound track. Fine actors like Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Kristen Davis and Jean Reno are wasted in utterly unimaginative situations and suggestive yoga poses. After more than an hour of tiresome lectures and supposedly therapeutic exercises, it takes only a minute of sugary climax to resolve matters. The actors might be having a great time at Bora Bora, but we have no such luck. Switch to some travel and living TV channel instead!
