Bangalore: Have you forgotten to convey gratefulness to others? This book titled, “Have You Expressed Your Gratitude?” will remind the readers to be aware of the “gratitude” one needs to have and express to everything around us. The book, authored by Sant Saran Mantri, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Bangalore, was released here on Sunday at a function organised at Crossword book store. The book focusses on lack of “gratitude” in our lives and more importantly the apathy surrounding the same. It is second book authored by Mr. Mantri. Mr. Mantri, who holds an MBA from Poddar Institute of Management, Jaipur, and PG programme in Public Policy and Management from Indian Institute Management-Bangalore, says that he is attracted by human behaviour and a keen watcher of people and analysing their attitudes both at workplace and elsewhere. “The behaviour of people at different times, different circumstance, among others, encouraged me to write the book focussing on gratitude. Mother prepares the food that not only will be tasty but will have love in it. Many of us even forget to thank even those who are very close to us and who are very essence of our being…,” said Mr. Mantri when asked about what motivated him to write on importance of gratitude. “Every one knows about gratitude and I have only put them together to remind ourselves.” Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Rehman Khan, who released the book, said it reminds people about basic human character that one should have in day-to-day-life. Mr. Mantri’s first book “Have You Taken Your Dose?” revolved around various aspects of life was also released for Bangalore market on the occasion.
